Book 3
Alpha and Omega Series
They say opposites attract. And in the case of werewolves Anna Latham and Charles Cornick, they mate. The son-and enforcer-of the leader of the North American werewolves, Charles is a dominant alpha. While Anna, an omega, has the rare ability to calm others of her kind.

Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles.

Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston, when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial killer case. They quickly realize that not only the last two victims were werewolves-all of them were. Someone is targeting their kind. And now Anna and Charles have put themselves right in the killer's sights...

I gave this book a 5

Fair Game by Patricia Briggs reads like a detective novel engraved with phenomenal paranormal magic! Exciting doesn't even come close to describing the journey Fair Game takes you on.  Anna and Charles ensnare you with the chase, every second counts from beginning to end.  This book delves deep into the mind of a serial killer, a captivating psychological mental autopsy of a monster.   We join the team behind the scenes to piece together the clues needed to catch the monster, killing fae. Anna and Charles are a force to be reckoned with, taking their relationship to the next level.   Briggs' has outdone herself with book 3, if I wasn't a hardcore fan already, I'm even more so after reading Fair Game.  I highly recommend this book and all of Briggs' work.

Book 2
Shadowlands series
The Man of Her Dreams

He is like a prince in a fairy tale: tall, outrageously handsome, and way too dark for her own good. Amanda has been hurt before, though. And with her daughter's illness, the last thing she needs right now is a man. But the power of Dai King is hard to resist. And when he threads his hands through her hair and pulls her in for a kiss, there is no denying it feels achingly right.

In a Land of Nightmares

After being trapped in the Shadowlands for centuries with the goblin horde a constant threat, Dai revels in his newfound freedom back in the human realm. But even with the centuries of magic he's accumulated, he still doesn't know how to heal Amanda's daughter—and it breaks his heart. Yet for the woman he loves, he'd risk anything...including a retun to the Shadowlands.

Kiss of the Goblin Prince by Shona Husk is a magical PRN read!  Refreshing POV from Dai takes readers along for the ride as Dai overcomes the challenges facing him.  Dai must learn to live as  human again, during which his attraction for Amanda slowly evolves into love.  Kiss of a Goblin Prince is a kaleidoscope of questions waiting to be answered, and Dai is the answer.  Ms. Husk keeps the reader interested with her unique and colorful characters.  I look forward to reading more from Shona Husk.

Review: Bewitching the Werewolf by Caroline Hanson

Posted on with No comments

When witch for hire, Megan Stephens, is assigned to help the local werewolf pack leader find a mate, she thinks the job will be easy. Get in, get him up and get gone. But when she meets Zack Connor, she realizes her future might have a lot more dog jokes in it than she ever imagined.

This is a short story-- approximately 40 pages in length-- and includes an excerpt from Love is Darkness, the first book in the Valerie Dearborn series.

**Please be aware that this book contains sex. And not in a fade-to-black-sort-of-way but an-OMG-that's-in-public-sort-of-way**

Cindy's Review:

An Amazon FREE read...it's short but well worth your time. And it opens you to a very tallented writer!

When a beautiful witch is hired to help find an Alpha Werewolves mate, little does she know how easy her job will be.

This story was very good...my only complaint was that it wasn't long enough. I loved our little witch and her sarcastic mouth. Zack was just flat out drool worthy...together they were HAWT! ssstt!

Deadly Sins by Lora Leigh takes you to new heights.  Erotic, sensual characters will leave you breathless.  Wonderful addition to the The Callahan's Series, we learn who Logan desires, and then some.  Sky O'Brien is Lora's best female heroine in the series.  Just when you thought you knew everything there was to learn about the Callahan cousins, Leigh throws us for a loop, leaving us chomping at the bit for more. Lora transports readers to the unique mountain town where there is more than one mystery to solve.

NightBorn by Lynn Viehl leads us to another amazing view of the Darkyn.   Finally, we get to learn more about the illusive Korvel.   NightBorn delves deeper into the past of the Darkyn opening our eyes to what can only be more amazing stories via Viehl. I was thrilled that Korvel finally found his woman, the deadly and kick-ass, Simone.  Smoldering looks, and bone melting romance make this a winner. I look forward to the book two, Nightbred, due out December 4, 2012.

Reveiw: Oracle's Moon by Thea Harrison

Oracle's Moon (Elder Races, #4)
Book 4
The Elder Races

When Grace Andreas's sister, Petra, and her husband are both killed, Grace inherits the Power and responsibilities of the Oracle of Louisville, as well as her sister's two young children--neither of which she is prepared for. Then Khalil, Demonkind and Djinn Prince of House Marid, decides to make himself a part of the household both as guardian and counterpoint to Grace's impudence towards the Elder Races.

Cindy's Review:

Grace Andreas has inherited the responsibilities of Oracle after her sister, her brother-in-law and she are hit head on by a semi. Leaving Grace as guardian to her 4 year old daughter, Chloe and her 9 month old son, Max. Also on her list of things to do is care for the house and acreage. And how can she be available for the children and do her Oracle work with no money coming in to put food on the table. Now add to Grace's headache with one devastatingly handsome Djinn, Kahlil, who is attached to precocious Chloe. During his visits, Kahlil sees the beauty of Grace and wishes to spend more time with her. When someone searches through Grace's papers, and people who volunteer to work for the Oracle start treating her as a pariah, Grace tries to understand why! This has some of the most charming interaction between a master Djinn and an honest, good woman. Of course sparks fly Can't wait for "Lord's Fall", next on Thea Harrison's release on the "Elder Race's".

ARC Review: The Wolf Who Loved Me by Lydia Dare

Posted on Apr 20, 2012 with 1 comment

Book 1

Regency England Has Gone to the Wolves!

Lady Madeline Hayburn Has Money Problems...

Specifically, she has so much of it that she's dogged by fortune hunters, including her bewilderingly attractive, penniless neighbor, with his wild nature and uncouth manners...

Weston Hadley Has An Identity Crisis...

Specifically, he's just turned into a wolf while Madeline was watching. Now it's up to the regal lady to tame the wild beast...if she can...

I gave this book a 3

There is nothing sexier than a werewolf's animalistic attraction to a woman. The Wolf Who Loved Me by Lydia Dare pours us a glass of tall dark and handsome an then some. Throughout the entire book there is a sense of the unknown and reader will find themselves turning pages in order to feed the need Lydia Dare has created. The characters come alive on the pages and take us on their journey. I wish there had been more romance between our two main characters. Madeline was just a brat, if it wasn't for our boy, Hadley, I would not have liked this book. I look forward to book two, Wolfishly Yours, coming soon.

*One of my favorite covers this year.
