Wow! I love discovering Batman through the eyes of Alfred. Alfred is a bit of a mystery in his own right. He's Batman's go-to guy for just about everything. He never feels the need to sugar coat anything he needs to say to Batman. Although The First Ally is a bit of departure from the usual comic in the Batman series, it was important to showcase the life of our super hero from another vantage point. Snyder introduces and reminds us of old foes in an effortless way. A must read. Delve into the past and discover.

I'm so impressed with Aquaman!  He is finally taking center stage as a super hero.   The power struggle to claim his throne leads Arthur down a new path.  I thought the secondary characters gave depth to the story.  Great action surrounds the rise and fall of Atlantis, and Arthur's journey.  The art is gorgeous.  Artist Stjepan Sejic adds a unique flair to the comic.  There's something to discover on each page.  Who knew there were mutants in Atlantis! I'm looking forward to what Abnett has in store for Aquaman and the Underworld.  A must read if you would like a learn about Aquaman or are a fan.

Early Review: Justice League vs. Suicide Squad by Joshua Williamson

It's the first major event storyline of DC's Rebirth era in JUSTICE LEAGUE VS. SUICIDE SQUAD!

Justice League vs. Suicide Squad is exactly what I've been waiting for!  All has come together.  The character interactions leading up to this culminating comic were spot on. Williamson conveys the turmoil and the energy that has been building up, superbly. The mastermind leading the chaos, Max Lord, shines the light on his character and his mommy issues too.  Waller radiates, commanding and leading the fight with the use of the Suicide Squad.  The Justice League find themselves fighting those whom if allowed could find redemption, a path to their full potential. Batman will confront Waller, setting the tone for what lies ahead. The Justice League and the Suicide Squad have a future, side by side. Wonderful fighting, and a behind the scenes as to the where and why of it all. A must read this summer!
