First Earl I See Tonight is a wonderful historical romance. Witty and humorous, the heroine kicks off the romance in a aura of mystery. Her need to marry the handsome Earl of Ravenport will have you turning the pages. David is the perfect hero, jaded by a painful past, he meets his match in Miss Fiona Hartly. He says all the right things and has a magnetic personality. Fiona will stop at nothing to protect her family from scandal. I was so engrossed with this story and the characters until we learned the identity of the blackmailer. It was then that the story began to feel rushed. I wish David had fought harder to learn the truth after Fiona leaves the estate. That being said, it ends in a great HEA.
A real romance and a pretty cover as well.
