A desperate father tries to return home to his pregnant wife after a mysterious apocalyptic event turns everything to chaos.
Thumbs Down! I had such high hopes for this movie. It's been a while since we've seen Theo. This apocalyptic drama left us on the side of the road! From the very beginning the tension between the characters should have been explained instead of being cryptic. How It Ends has the most beautiful cinematography but the story was just not there. The interaction between characters felt forced at times. The action and survival scenes weren't bad. Plenty of bullets and blood to keep me happy. Scenes weren't cheesy but it seemed that their journey across the US was way too easy. The plausible factor just wasn't matching up to the event and all they would've had to endure. We learn nothing concrete of the event that started in LA. Where did the masses go? No bodies, just fire, ash, and quakes! Oh, where are all the soldiers? You know, the ones that carry M16s or M4s? You just wait. You'll have that same WTF moment when you get to that specific scene. How did the wife survive? *headdesk*
I have so many unanswered questions. Will there be a sequel? I would consider watching it, if they decided to answer our questions. Do we have a HEA moment where the man saves the woman? Well that's still up for debate. They looked like they had a good head start. You'ill have to decide.
