A good urban fantasy book takes real cities and recreates them as paranormal landscapes. Magic Breaks takes it one step further and transports you there. There is a unique quality to Ilona Andrews work that leaves readers on the edge, breathless and awaiting the unknown. You will feel yourself going from that "fight-or-flight" response along side Kate throughout Magic Breaks. Readers will finally have the encounters they have long awaited with all the power and magic that has been intensifying throughout the series. Magic Breaks evokes this palpable intensity that will have readers trying to foretell the outcome time and time again. Magic Breaks delivers all you wanted and what you had no idea you needed. Andrews delivers the magical on so many levels that readers will find themselves yearning for more. Magic Breaks without a doubt is one of the best urban fantasies of the year.
