The Guardian Series
Book 3
Video-game designer River Weston has seen her world torn apart. The streets of Earth have filled with looting, sickness, and fighting, but River knows that she is in a unique position to help. Drawing on her Fae magic, she creates a computer-generated program called Hollow Man, designed to protect humans during battle. Worlds away, Guardian Chase Hawkins has finally returned to his own body after years of astral projection. His mission now that he's back: retrieve River, who is walking a dark path without even knowing it, and strip her world of the technology that has brought it to ruin. Hawk and his team arrive on Earth only to discover that River's new computer program endangers the world all on its own. An old human virus has resurrected and mutated with a computer virus inside of Hollow Man, and it's spreading uncontrollably. Hawk is convinced it's too late to save Earth...but River isn't ready to give up hope yet. River and Hawk find themselves on opposing sides, yet drawn together stronger than ever before. But a future with both of them in it could mean walking paths darker than either of them could ever have imagined.

I gave this book a 4
Fair Game by Taylor Keating is an adventure waiting to be experienced. The countdown has begun and Hawk must do whatever it takes to explain things to River. The action found in this story kept me glued to the pages from the very beginning. Keating’s ability to create such an interesting plot woven into an amazing world led me deeper and deeper into the story. Hawk and River take this story and heat it up, giving readers front row seats to an explosive galactic fireworks show.  This is my first time reading a book from the writing duo known as Taylor Keating, a pseudonym of writing team Catherine Verge and Paula Altenburg. I wish we could of learned more about River's grandmother.  I will now have to go back and read the first and second book in the series, Fair Game was just too interesting.

  1. I read the 1st book in this series. I didn't move on. Does the romance progress any or does the series stay urban fantasyish?

    1. Hey Vanessa, thanks for the drive by! LOL I will have to get back to you on the romance from books 1 and 2, I have yet to read them. I'll make sure to let you know if I ever catch up on all the series that I need to. You know the drill, there's never enough time to read. Ha ha Have a great week.
