Hunter of Shadows (Moonlight, #5)
Book 5
Moonlight Series

The secrets he knows about her could get him killed.

Transferring to the New Orleans Police Department, Detective Silas MacCreedy has a hidden agenda: to secure his clan’s place once again in the Shifter hierarchy. What he didn’t count on was stumbling upon a sexy assassin who could shred his best intentions and lead him into a dangerous dance that threatens to engage his heart.

But the ones he doesn’t know . . .

Monica Fraser knows just how to make a man beg—for his life. But she has no clue how to fight her attraction to the fiercely intense detective who seems determined to get in her way, both professionally and intimately.

. . . could kill them both.

When emotional attachments to the past and an unexpected glimpse of a different future have her questioning her deadly purpose, Nica must discover the truth about her secret abilities in order to free herself from the forces that control her. But that freedom comes with a price—trusting those she’s been ordered to eliminate.

Hunter of Shadows is an extraordinary read, surrounded in secrets! This intense view into the shifter world in the Moonlight series delves deeper to what we have already learned about Max and the shifters. Nancy Gideon brings Sila to the forefront in this next installment and pairs him up with a kick~ass heroine, Monica. They will learn that what they are both hunting, is one and the same. The chemistry between Monica and Sila is lightning hot. Hunter of Shadows is a fast paced paranormal sure to entice all readers to go back and read the previous books in the series. Yet, if you are like me, and have already read the previous books, you’ll just reread them to fall in love with Max all over again.

FAN NOTE:
OMG! Moonlight fanatic here! I a full fledged Max-manic, he is on my Top 5 Heros list and has been on there for years. He ranks up there with greats like, Jericho Barrons and Reyes Farrow, just to name a few. When I learned that Nancy was going to continue the series, but tell secondary character stories, I went into a deep funk. LOL I needed more Max and I didn't think I could read about his world and not have him as the main character, but Nancy, true to form, never and I mean, never disappoints, with her fabulous writing. She gave us exactly what we needed, a broader view of the what encompasses the shifters in the Moonlight series. Thank you, Nancy, forgive me for ever doubting your wisdom!
