Harry Moseley, "Britain's Kindest Kid", is a hero. He's a young man with an inoperable brain tumor who has managed to raise over £500,000.00 for Cancer Research UK Harry's motivation, in his own words:
"My name is Harry, I’m 11 years old and I have an inoperable brain tumour. When my friend Robert Harley became very ill because of his brain tumour I set up my campaign Help Harry Help Others.
I started making and selling bracelets in the hope that I would raise enough money for brain tumour research so that I could help get my friend better.
Robert was my inspiration and although he died just after I started my campaign, I am determined to continue in his memory. That’s why I’ve teamed up with Cancer Research UKto help them find a cure for brain tumours."
He is currently in a coma and undergoing chemotherapy. The best thing for Harry would be for him to be at home, as the risk for infection is enormous for anyone staying in a hospital - especially for someone with a compromised immune system. Harry has almost 30,000 twitter followers - his twitter "family" - and some of them have joined forces to try and raise the funds to get Harry home - to Help Others Help Harry
Which brings us to Authors Helping Harry. A wonderful group of writers (see their names/links on the sidebar) and a very talented cover artist/graphic designer have come together in support of Harry. They are contributing to an anthology, all the proceeds of which will go towards bringing Harry home, and once that goal is accomplished - the proceeds will be put towards his charity, Cancer Research UK.
