has the honor to kick of this amazing blog tour!
Today, we have
author of Cat O' Nine Tails and it's heroine, Aeron Lynch, hanging out with us.
When pirate hunter Orrin and his brother Kale are hired by Queen Winifred to hunt down Aeron and her band of miscreants, Orrin never dreamed he'd fall in love with the beautiful she-pirate nor the kind, accepting people of her island hideaway. As Orrin learns of Aeron's jaded past with the Queen, he allies himself with the pirate captain and her crew. Joining forces on the high seas to bring Winifred's evil reign to an end, Aeron and Orrin soon discover that the strongest weapon in their combined arsenal is the love they have for each other.

Patty – Hey Aeron, how’s it goin’ girlfriend?
Aeron – God’s ghost woman, you have the oddest manner of speaking.
Patty – Sorry, I forget you’re from a different century.
Aeron – It’s quite alright, I know those four children of yours haven’t left you with much sense.
Aeron – As you well know, I have a tendency to sail about the seas on my ship, the Mermaid, and use my many powers of persuasion to entice gentlemen to part with their coins and the occasional gift of adoration.
Patty – Mm-hum, and just what sort of “powers of persuasion” are you talking about there, Miss Aeron?
Aeron –*knowing smirk* Come now Patricia, you’re a well endowed woman, surely you can figure out a thing or two that a woman might have at her disposal.
Patty – Ahem…*blushing* again, moving on…as I understand you are quite gifted with a sword, tell us about that.
Aeron – Ah, yes, my parents were of the mind that a woman should be able to defend herself just as well as a man should. Being that my mother’s father was a sword maker, she could wield a sword from birth, she could even best my father when she had the mind to. You must also realize that in my time, it was quite uncommon for a woman to engage in swordplay so my father and mother would give me lessons at night, in the back of our barn.
Patty – So, you started very young I’m assuming.
Aeron – As soon as I could hold a sword, yes.
Patty – Cool. Now, let’s talk about Orrin, shall we?
Aeron – Mmm, one of my favorite subjects.
Patty – Amen! Okay, one of my readers, Miss GraceDZ, had a question for you. “In your first encounter with Orrin, in Oaksbridge, can you tell us what happened to him after he passed out?”
Aeron – *smiling* Well, after Darcy hauled him up the stairs I took a moment to relieve him of his purse and compass.
Patty – Yeah, I think you are leaving something out, because I believe he was also naked, care to tackle that one?
Aeron – I couldn’t leave him with all of his clothes on, what if he’d have woken up sooner than I’d expected? So someone had to remove those pesky clothes and since Darcy had already left, the menial task was left up to me.
Patty – Uh-huh, and the lip print on his hip? What, you tripped and your lips landed on him?
Aeron – Don’t be ridiculous, I happened to catch a glimpse of his nakedness and, well, you’ve seen him, I had to have just one little taste .*wicked grin*
Patty – Good point. Okay, I have another question from reader, Miss GardenPrincess, “How did you know that Orrin was that one?”
Aeron – Again, you have seen the man, have you not? He’s masculinity and gentleness and sensuality all wrapped up into one gloriously beautiful package. Not to mention he gives one hell of a bath. Speaking of which, I believe he’s waiting for me in the lagoon so I’m going to have to take my leave *gets up and leaves without a backward glance*
Patty – *calling after her* Oh, don’t mind me, I’ll wrap things up here! Pffft, pirates.

What a fun interview. I see Aeron is quite the character. Normally I'm not into pirate-themed books, but this one I'd love to read.
ReplyDeleteIs the giveaway international?
Count me in, girlfriend ;-)

Any woman who comes with actual miscreants sounds like someone I'd love to spend time with and perhaps trade some ideas about how to deal with scalawags (like my youngest brother).
ReplyDeletePatty, I'll park my endowments over next to yours while Aeron talks. :)

@Linda, I asked Aeron your question she said, "I learned early on that if one can fight in the confines of a dress, one can get past a few other pesky obstacles."
ReplyDelete@Cindy, to quote Miss Aeron, "I never said I was a lady *wink*"
What a great post! I had to laugh a few times, a very naughty pirate that is! Would love to win this one ;)
